At the threshold between presence and erasure, matter inscribes the vulnerability of the living and threatened equilibria. Through its sensitive structure and slow chromatic transitions, the weave becomes memory of a world in transformation. The Xylocide series evokes the disappearance of forests devastated by the fires of summer 2023 in Canada.
The Woven Porcelain series explores porcelain as a sensitive structure, at the intersection of wall sculpture and installation. Composed of individually formed units that are then linked together, the works are constructed through repetition, variation, and the tension of relationships.
Each element retains its singularity while contributing to a coherent whole, where intervals structure the balance of the composition. These works develop architectures of relations in which equilibrium emerges from the meticulous assembly of elements and the precision of the gesture.
